Cone Beam 3D Imaging
Physicians have relied on computerized axial tomography scans (CAT) for years. Today, many dentists rely on 3D imaging scans to provide them with a detailed view of the mouth and skull. 3D scans are quick and simple to perform. A Cone Beam Imaging System is at the heart of the 3D scanner. The cone beams are used to take literally hundreds of pictures of the face. These pictures are used to compile an exact 3D image of the inner mechanisms of the face and jaw. The dentist is able to zoom in on specific areas and view them from alternate angles.

3D X-ray gives us a detailed view of your teeth, gums, nerve pathways, and bone.

Using the x-rays and powerful imaging software, our team is able to analyze the results to create the perfect place plan for your implant. We calculate the optimal structural positioning of the implant based on the existing bone and safest distance from the nerves. Other benefits include:
Lower radiation dose (less than a full mouth series of intraoral film)
A quick comprehensive scan of the complete oral-maxillofacial area (14 seconds)
Immediate virtual diagnosis and treatment planning in one visit
More certainty during surgery
Easy sharing of images and diagnostic information
CEREC Same Day Crowns technology

CEREC® Same-Day Dental Crowns for Ultimate Convenience

CEREC is an advanced dentistry software that allows our doctors to perform all of the steps necessary to design, create, and place your crown in a single visit. You never have to wear a temporary crown again. CEREC takes advantage of advanced dentistry technology to condense a three-week process into a one-hour visit. Here’s how the process works:

  • Your tooth is prepared for a crown by removing decay or addressing a fracture.
  • A digital impression of your tooth is taken and transmitted to 3D CAD software.
  • Our doctors design your new tooth and transmit the specifications to a milling machine.
  • A ceramic block in your preferred shade is placed in the machine and sculpted into your new crown.
  • Your new crown is permanently bonded in place.

Laser Dentistry for Greater Comfort and Faster Recovery

Laser dentistry is a safe and effective method of treatment for many conditions of the soft tissue and is also useful in teeth bleaching, as it hastens the effects of the active ingredients. Our doctors use the Ivoclar Odyssey Laser for treatment of the soft tissue, such as laser gum surgery. Laser dentistry for the treatment of gum disease offers numerous benefits, including:

  • Minimized discomfort, swelling, and bleeding
  • No need for incisions or sutures
  • Faster recovery time
  • Less risk of gum recession
  • Regrowth of bone tissue encouraged

Trios Digital Impression Scanners

Our Trios 3 Shape Digital Impression Scanners make the process of taking impressions faster, easier, and more accurate. The process consists of a scan with a wand that allows us to highlight relevant areas that are sent to the lab for abutment and crown preparation.

The Trios 3 Digital Impression Scanners provide a more realistic scan experience in which we are able to better evaluate clinical situations through the use of natural colors and high definition photos. These features allow for better case documentation that we can easily relay to our patients.

These scanners are used in all of our offices and allow us to treat more people, more effectively and with improved care. Our protocol can eliminate additional appointments that would normally be necessary, which helps take away the hassle and stress from patients having to rearrange their busy schedules. Moreover, patients will not gag on traditional impression materials!
